(The view from our old Pasadena apartment)
I miss Home! There I said it! I miss everything about it. The food is horrible here. Oh how I miss my burritos, enchiladas, and all other Mexican dishes. I would probably cut off my own arm to get a baked potato from Steak n Stein, or some chili cheese fries from Tommys. Oh how I miss the weather. Really, high of 80 in LA today??? Are you kidding me? K's school was cancelled today because there was freezing rain last night that, created an ice blanket on the roads. The cold is so bitter here, it chills to the bone. K hates it just like me, as for C, he has spent more of his life here in "Merryland" than anywhere else, so he doesn't seem to be bothered by it.
You want to know how much I miss home, I think I even miss the traffic. Yep I miss sitting on the 5 or 605, or it taking an hour to get from point A to point B when it should only take twenty minutes. But most of all I miss my family and friends so much. I find it so hard to even write this. I miss my Grandma, more than words can express. As most of you know she is my mom and my world. The person I look up to, the one who I strive to be like. I hate that when I am hurting I can't just get a hug from her. It's hard for me to even talk to her on the phone because I end up missing her more when the call is over. I have a hard time talking to anyone back home really. I am sorry if I seem distant at times, it's my defense mechanism. I'm working on it.
Ok, so now that I have gotten that off my chest; I think I can start my blog. I am truly blessed to have my best friend at my side. Oh ya and we have two of the cutest kids ever! So here is to the start of my first blog, no more whining or negativity allowed! Ok, well maybe just a little bit :) My goal is to post at least once a week, with some fun things we are doing. Thanks for getting this far. Have a great week everyone :)
Miss you too!!! Lots of love from the Santos Family! We even miss Pasadena, no reason to go over there lol!
